Most of your daytime is spent at work. You spend
more time at work than at home. If you are working
at a job that you love and enjoy,
one that satisfies your soul and wallet,
you are one of
the lucky few.
You just graduated from university. You have dreams.
Big dreams like reaching the top very quickly.
You apply for new jobs. You start working. If
your job satisfies your soul and wallet, even
after the first 6 months, you
are one of the lucky few.
Unfortunately, both situations are rare.
Nowadays people unsatisfied with their jobs are
of majority.
Why aren't we happy with our jobs?
Our company, our managers, our colleagues, our
clients...Are they the ones to blame?
What about us ? What are we looking
for and what can't we find ?
How often do we ask these questions to ourselves?
And how sincere and objective are we in our answers?
What are you working for?
In today's business world,"the driving force"
is being questioned more frequently than ever.
Do you know exactly what you expect from your
job?
Do you know what your current job can give you?
If you don't know what you want, it is not possible
to find satisfaction no matter where you go.
Don't forget what the Cat says to Alice.
Determining your goals is not enough. You
have to question your skills and abilities.
"What can I do?"
Is it enough?
No.
You have to think about your personal qualities
and skills, your training, your areas of interest,
things that make you happy and unhappy. You have
to be clear in your expectations.
And you have to write them down on paper. Because
only when they appear in front of your eyes will
they take a real-life form.
Success is an ideal combination of reality and
dreams.
To progress in the world of business, concepts
such as "personal vision", "personal
goals",and "personal development plan"
are becoming more and more significant.
Things we learn at school are no longer enough.
There are 4 main steps for moving
up the steps on career ladder:
-
To define personal goals and areas of interest
clearly,
-
To set up successful communication with the
top management and the environment,
-
To keep up with the developments and keep learning
continuously,
-
To devise action plans that are constantly updated
and and apply them.
If you don't know where you want
to go, then no job is good enough for you.
Please consider these before you
start looking for a new job.
